Original Paramount Pictures Advance One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the John Schlesinger dramatic thriller, THE DAY OF THE LOCUST (1975) starring Donald Sutherland, Karen Black, Burgess Meredith, and William Atherton. This is harrowing tale of an art director (Atherton) who falls in love with a young woman (Black) and attempts to make her into a movie star. With excellent design, a literate script, outstanding ensemble acting performances, and great cinematography this film has much to recommend. Although there is a constant feeling of foreboding in this story of the rancid side of the American dream, the ending is one of the most horrendous in cinema history. This original advance one sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition.
