The wonderful tale of Babe, a pig raised by sheepdogs, and how she learns to herd sheep with a little help from Farmer Hoggett (Cromwell), charmed audiences when it was released in 1995. Impeccable lip-syncing makes these loveable talking animals appear like very real human characters. The film was nominated for seven Academy Awards - including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. The film won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.
