Columbia Pictures Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster (27x41) Folded Fine Plus Condition

Columbia Pictures Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster for the Robert Rossen directed film THE BRAVE BULLS (1948). Robert Rossen was one of Hollywood's genuine intellectual filmmakers He was responsible for the cerebral anti-epic ALEXANDER THE GREAT starring Richard Burton and later directed one of Hollywood's big hits of the early sixties, THE HUSTLER (1961) starring Paul Newman. He was drawn toward films about competition and here his focus was on the bullring. The film was made in Mexico City and in San Miguel de Allende. As is noted on the A.F.I. website, "Eight members of the cast were actual banderilleros and picadores and were credited onscreen as Members of the Association de Banderilleros y Picadores, Mexico D.F." Ferrer was an interesting choice. A detached persona, sometimes playing as a bit cruel, was often attached to Mel Ferrer's roles. He was also famously the first husband of Audrey Hepburn. This poster was folded, was used in a theater and should be regarded as in fine plus condition. MovieArt will sell no reproductions. We guarantee that this poster is authentic, vintage, real.
