Description

Original U.S. Half Sheet (22x28) Re-release of 1962 Folded Very Good Plus Condition

MGM Original U.S. Half Sheet Poster (22x28) for the 1962 re-relase of DAVID COPPERFIELD (1935). The film was a storied production for MGM, directed by George Cukor and starring Freddie Bartholomew as the child David and Frank Lawton as his adult counterpart. MGM assembled a stellar cast to bring life to Charles Dickens' characters: Edna May Oliver, W.C. Fields, Basil Rathbone, Lionel Barrymore, Lewis Stone, Madge Evans, Maureen O'Sullivan. MGM worked to make the adaptation of the famous novel a moving film. The film was one of the best films made by MGM in the 1930s and in 1962 the studio released the film for a different generation of moviegoers to enjoy. This poster is folded and and is in very good plus condition. There is a small chip out of the border area, upper right and upper left, some minor fold distress and some evidence of tape. The general condition of the paper, however, is quite good. Colors are vivid. MGM released a host of its old films in 1962, and most of the posters for those rereleases were not in color. But this one is. MovieArt Original Film Posters in Austin, Texas guarantees that this poster is authentic, vintage, original MovieArt Austin does not sell reproductions.
