Walt Disney Original Jumbo Window Card 22x28 Very Fine
Original Walt Disney Productions Jumbo Window Card for the James Algar and Samuel Armstrong music animation masterpiece, FANTASIA (1940) starring Leopold Stokowski conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra and narrated by Deems Taylor. This was the first feature film shown in multi-channel sound, since the music was extremely important to the whole FANTASIA experience. Some critics consider this series of fanciful stories built around seven pieces of classical music to be not only the best animated film ever made but also one of the greatest films period. Certainly this film was one of the highlights of Walt Disney's distinguished career. This jumbo window card measure 22 inches wide by 28 inches high. Note that this normal U.S. half-sheet size is oriented vertically. A printed playdate, displaying the name of the theater or perhaps the name of a small town in which the film was being shown is printed at the top. Very nice, indeed.
