An affectionate and effective portrait of the British Prime minister who led the U.K. through the perils of World War II. The film takes its title, of course, from Churchill's famous speech in the House of Commons on June 18, 1940. World War II documentaries are very common on television today, but in 1964, this was a chance to revisit news footage and archived material so that viewers could get a good look at their recent history. It's not unusual that some extra gravity was added to the film with the narration by Orson Welles.
