Original Columbia Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41). Folded. Scarce. Fine Condition.

Original Columbia Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Jules White comedy short, GENERAL NUISANCE (1941) starring Buster Keaton, Elsie Ames, Dorothy Appleby, and Monte Collins. In the late 30s and early 40s, Buster Keaton's career was fading and he was destitute; so, he made a string of short comedy films for Columbia all directed by Jules White, who directed the Three Stooges shorts. In this film, Keaton plays a millionaire who falls in love with an army nurse, who confides in him that she can't resist men in uniform. Keaton enlists in the army and then gets himself injured so he can be under her care. The film is pretty raucous-- complete with a honk-whistle soundtrack-- compared with KeatonÕs normal style. Posters of the later Keaton films are very scarce, because fewer posters were printed and even fewer kept for short subject films. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition-- with some minor pinholes, a minor fold separation, and minor crossfold wear.
