Edward G. Robinson steals every scene in this picture about an ex-cop who has just gotten out of prison for a crime he did not commit. Of course, Robinson, reprising his style from LITTLE CAESAR and other gangster films - a character which he did very well, adjusting the nuance of performance to fit a particular script - is the culprit behind this injustice. Alan Ladd in another of his tough-guy roles, all of this set against a San Francisco locale. The final chase and shootout take place in speedboats on San Francisco Bay. The Italian 39x55 has art by the wonderful Luigi Martinati. The poster is in very fine condition.
