MGM Original Stock One-Sheet Poster (27x41) TOM AND JERRY JOHANN MOUSE (1953)

Original MGM Tom and Jerry stock one-sheet poster (27x41). This poster is for the cartoon short JOHANN MOUSE, released in the United States on March 21, 1953. Fred Quimby won the Academy Award for this cartoon short in the year 1953. So this is an Oscar winning cartoon. The cartoon was directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Actor Hans Conried was a voice actor in the short. Here is the basic plot from bcdb.com (Big Cartoon Database): "Little Johann Mouse- Jerry- can't resist waltzing when he hears the piano playing from the Maestro, Johann Strauss, but when the music stops, so does the dancing. Therefore, Tom must learn to play the piano to keep the mouse dancing so that he can catch him." The poster was a theater used poster and we was in very good to fine condition, but we thought it would look great on linen. So we had it linen-backed. MovieArt Austin guarantees this one-sheet to be the original MGM poster for this cartoon. MovieArt Austin will sell NO reproductions.
