Original Italian Poster for the British film THE MAN IN THE MOON (1960), directed by Basil Dearden. The space-age comedy film starred Kenneth More, Shirley Anne Field, Norman Bird, Michael Hordern, Charles Gray and Jeremy Lloyd. The movie is a comedy about a guy who lives a happy-go-lucky existence. So content is he that he is immune to all known diseases. Because of this, he is recruited to do a test-flight for the government, which, unbeknownst to him, is really a trip to the moon. All this proceeds apace until the guy falls in love with a stripper. For some reason, his immunities begin to disappear. This was a big film for the producers and one that flopped. Not much U.S. distribution on this picture. We think the Italian poster for the film stands on its own, charming and insouciant.
