Allied Artists Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster (27x41) Folded Very Good Condition

Original Allied Artists U.S. One-Sheet Poster (27x41), folded, for the John Huston directed adventure THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING (1975). The film starred Sean Connery, Michael Caine and Christopher Plummer. The film takes place in the latter part of the 19th century. Two ex-soldiers go adventuring in colonial India and get more than they bargained for. Huston had wanted to make this movie for 20 years. Originally he wanted to make the film with Humphrey Bogart and Clark Gable. In 1957 Bogart died, followed by Clark Gable in 1960. At one point he wanted to make with Robert Redford and Paul Newman. Newman suggested that he use British actors in the production, and Connery and Caine were cast. The poster features art by Tom Jung. This poster was used in a theater and has some tape on the front. We have graded it in good condition due to the tape. Would look great if this tape were removed. MovieArt Austin guarantees that this poster is an authentic U.S one-sheet for this film. MovieArt Austin will sell no reproductions.
