Original Rock-Price Productions Window Card (14x22). Near Mint Condition.
Original Rock-Price Productions Window Card (14x22) for the Elwood Price exploitation documentary, MAU-MAU (1955) narrated by NBC newsman Chet Huntley. This supposed documentary shows the rise of the African resistance movement known as "Mau-Mau" against British rule in East Africa in the early 1950's but in reality was an opportunity to show as many bare-breasted African women as possible. Director Price took the completed film to most of the big studios and television networks, but they all rejected it. Finally, he took it to exploitation legend Dan Sonney, who marketed it as an "outlaw" picture - one that was "too hot" for Hollywood. This original window card is in near mint condition.
