Original U.S. Six Sheet Poster for the Walt Disney Company production MIRACLE OF THE WHITE STALLIONS (1962) starring Robert Taylor, Lilli Palmer, Curt Jurgens, Eddie Albert, James Franciscus, John Larch, and Douglas Fowley. The film was directed by Arthur Hiller. In World War II Austria, Colonel Alois Podhajsky sets out to protect his beloved Lipizzaner stallions - purebred snow-white horses with centuries of tradition - from starving refugees and from the advancing Soviet Army who might view them as a source of meat, and ensure that they are surrendered into safekeeping. It is known that U.S. General George S. Patton is something of a horse fancier and might help, if he sees the stallions perform. This is squarely the kind of live action movie that the Disney company was making in the early 1960s. The six sheet is quite rare. We have not seen it at auction. This copy was used in a theater and is not perfect. But rather it is a very good condition example with some modest tears, holes and a bit ragged in some of the border area. Nevertheless, colors are vivid, and we regard this copy to be worthwhile. We don't have the resources to photograph this poster with a single photograph, so we have shot each panel individually. Six-sheets are large format poster which are printed on four separate panels which are joined together to present as one poster. Be sure that you have room for this.
