Hamilton had protested to the producers that he was no fan of Agatha Christie mysteries, but he was persuaded to make the film anyway. His approach was to laden the film with big stars from the 1950s, the decade when the famous Christie adaptations with Margaret Rutherford were popular, and to fashion Miss Marple more like Agatha Christie intended. The film stars Angela Lansbury as Miss Marple, and although she never played the character again, one has to wonder if her role as Marple helped her shape her character in "Murder, She Wrote", her wildly popular television series. The cast include Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, Kim Novak, Edward Fox, Geradline Chaplin and Charles Gray. The poster is folded and in very fine condition, a nice example.
