Original MGM One Sheet Poster (27x41) for David Lean's epic tale of romance and betrayal, RYAN'S DAUGHTER (1970) starring Robert Mitchum, Trevor Howard, John Miles, and Sarah Miles. Set in the wake of the 1916 Easter Rising, mounted by Irish republicans to end British rule in Ireland, the film tells the story of a married woman (Miles) who has an affair with a troubled British officer. The film was somewhat of a critical disappointment when it appeared and characterized as "too slow," but its reputation has grown favorable over the years. They don't make them like this anymore, with a fabulous score by Maurice Jarre. This original one sheet poster is rolled and appears to have never been used and is in very fine plus condition.
