Original United Artists One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Paul Verhoeven Las Vegas drama, SHOWIRLS (1995) starring Elizabeth Berkley, Kyle MacLachlan, Gina Gershon, and Glenn Plummer. The film chronicles a young drifter named Nomi (Berkley) who moves to Las Vegas to become a dance star and sets about clawing her way to the top. Of course, the film was roundly criticized as exploitative of and demeaning to women. Every female character in the film advances her career by both deceiving other women and becoming a sexual object for men. And while some see the film as a camp classic and sly satire, it was nominated in 2005 for the Razzie award Worst Drama of Our First 25 Years. This original one sheet poster is unfolded and in very fine condition.
