Description
Walt Disney Company Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster (27x41) Folded Re-release of 1957 Fine Condition
Walt Disney Company Original One-Sheet Poster (27x41), folded, for the 1957 re-release of the film THE THREE CABALLEROS (1944). The film was one of two feature films that the Disney Company made at the behest of the U.S. Government during World War II. The other one was its companion piece SALUDOS AMIGOS (1944). Walt Disney himself went on a goodwill tour of Mexico and South America. Disney films were popular in these countries and the U.S. Government wanted to promote good relations with the U.S' neighbors to the south. And so Disney was sent to garner material for two animated / live action musical films that would bring the culture of these countries to U.S. theater screens and also engender good will when they were shown domestically. This poster is a folded one-sheet for the only Disney Company re-release of the film, in 1957. We see the three amigos, Donald Duck, Panchito Pistoles and Jose Carioca on the poster. This poster is folded and is in good shape except for one small fold separation. MovieArt Austin guarantees that this poster is an authentic U.S. one-sheet poster for the 1957 re-release of this film. MovieArt Austin does not sell reproductions.
