MGM Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster (27x41) Linen-Backed Very Fine Condition

Original MGM U.S. One-Sheet Poster for the animation short TRAP HAPPY (1946). This seven minutes of cat and mouse is one of many in the glorious history of Tom and Jerry. The MGM Cartoon was released on June 29, 1946 in the U.S. and it was re-released once in 1954. This poster is from the first release and it is a stone lithograph. Both characters make an honest effort to blow each other up. And that's what Tom and Jerry cartoons are more or less about. The poster has a warm golden background. Against this the characters stand out brilliantly. The film was directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, with music by Scott Bradley. It was produced by the master, Fred Quimby. MovieArt Austin guarantees that this poster is an authentic U.S. one-sheet for this animation short. MovieArt Austin will sell no reproductions.
