Shot in Ansco Color, one of only a few films made in that process, THE WILD NORTH is an unusual western in MGM's canon. Life in the north country is exploited for all its mythic qualities. Andrew Marton, the director, became known as one of the most talented of the second unit directors on massive epic projects in the latter part of his career. This poster is pretty, but fragile.
