Warner Brothers Original Gelatin Silver Prints from the Allen H. Milner directed movie CHUBASCO (1968). These photographs are somewhat rare, and the condition is very nice indeed. All photographs show actor Christopher Jones and two of them shows actress Susan Strasberg. One shows the pair with director Allen H. Miner. Both of these actors occupy a curious place in the history of films of the sixties. Christopher Jones was a beautiful young man, and it wasn't a stretch to say that he reminded audiences of James Dean. He appeared in several films, including the youthquake movie WILD IN THE STREETS (1968). He also appeared in the David Lean movie RYAN'S DAUGHTER (1970), and his experience working with the perfectionist director contributed to his leaving Hollywood and pursuing other interests. Susan Strasberg, a gifted actress in her own right, was married to Jones at the time this film was made. The daughter of method acting teacher Lee Strasberg, she gained fame when she appeared in the stage production of THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, for which she was nominated for a Tony.
