Original MGM Italian 39x55 poster for the Desmond Davis adventure fantasy, CLASH OF THE TITANS (1981) starring Harry Hamlin, Judi Bowker, Laurence Olivier, Claire Bloom, and Maggie Smith. This is a film adaptation of the Greek myth of Perseus (Hamlin) and his quest to battle both Medusa and the Kraken sea monster in order to save the Princess Andromeda (Bowker). While it is true that the scenes with the Greek gods and goddesses are stiff and boring, the film tells a pretty good story with breathtaking scenery and excellent special effects for the time. This was Ray Harryhausen's last creation of special visual effects, which were all done with stop action animation using only two assistant animators. With wonderful artwork by Bruno Napoli.
