Twentieth Century Fox Original Scene Lobby Card (11x14) for the Edward Dmytryk directed film THE LEFT HAND OF GOD (1955). The card is signed by the director and the signature is cated 10/18/1994. Dmytryk had a long and distinguished career in Hollywood. He was, famously, one of the Hollywood Ten who refused to name names to the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC.) The others who were prosecuted were Alvah Bessie, Herbert Biberman, Lester Cole, Ring Lardner, Jr., John Howard Lawson, Albert Maltz, Samuel Ornitz, Adrian Scott and Dalton Trumbo. Most of the group were screenwriters. After serving a sentence, Dmytryk returned to Hollywood and directed 56 movies.
