Twentieth Century Fox Lobby Card for the film ORCHESTRA WIVES (1942). The card is from the re-release of the film in 1954. Shown on the cards are Glenn Miller, Frank Orth and Cesar Romero. This wartime film was populated with stars from the 1940s. It was cannily re-released in 1954 at the time of the release of Universal's film THE GLENN MILLER STORY, starring James Stewart as the most popular band leader of the big band era. We purchased a collection of signed lobby cards from the estate of a gentleman who worked in film distribution. As this man met actors along the paths of their careers, he asked for signatures.
