Columbia Pictures Original U.S. Six Sheet Poster for the British horror film THE REVENGE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1958). Directed by Terence Fisher for Hammer Film Productions, the movie stars Peter Cushing, Francis Mathews, Eunice Gayson, Michael Gwynn, Lionel Jeffries and Ian Whittaker. Hammer had the year before completed their own adaptation of the classic story, which they entitiled THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN, which also starred Cushing and was directed by Fisher. It was popular, made money and so the company embarked on a sequel - of sorts. In this film, Dr. Frankenstein eludes his demise indicated in the first film, escapes and sets up shop in Germany. The film was released in June of 1958 in the U.S. The six sheet for this film is seriously rare. I've seen the poster offered once - perhaps twice - before. Used in a theater, the poster is well preserved. We have graded it in fine condition, with some minor defects. A small separation at one of the fold lines.
