This is a poster for the 1977 film, but it is for the re-release of the film previous to the release of RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983). Fox was carefully grooming an entire new half-generation of fans for the franchise. So the poster has a teaser banner, alerting the viewer that the new movie is coming soon. Originally titled REVENGE OF THE JEDI, the poster is shown with that title.
