This racy movie is about a woman in politics -- and how Susan Hayward, a dubious bombshell with a heart of Gold marries the governor of the great state of somewhere in the South. The film resonates with comparisons to the raw politics of a Louisiana / Mississippi-like state and there is some reference, if obliquely, to the era of Huey P. Long.
