Description

Original U.S. Insert for the 1975 release Very Fine Never Folded

Original U.S. insert poster (14x36), re-releases of 1975, for the the David Hand / Disney animation masterpiece BAMBI (1942). BAMBI has played and continues to play a key role in shaping American attitudes about deer and woodland life. The film is the single most successful and enduring statement in American pop culture against hunting. The greatest emotional impact in the film is the death of Bambi's mother, who is shot by hunters off screen. Children are generally overwhelmed with grief for the seemingly senseless killing of the mother and realize that Bambi is left an orphan without his principal caregiver. Although the film did not recover its production expenses in its first run, subsequent releases made the film one of the most successful animation features of all time. This 1975 re-release poster shows the image as Bambi close to the animated likeness in the film. The design harkens back to earlier iterations of the poster. The condition of this never folded poster is spectacular. Colors are vivid and the poster was never actually used in a theater. MovieArt guarantees this re-release poster to be an authentic Disney Company poster for theaters. MovieArt Austin does not sell reproductions.
