The film was nominated for an Academy Award, and won a host of other award including the audience award at Sundance. Numerous personalities, some famous, appear in the film: Joan Baez, Ronald Reagan, Stokely carmichael, John Gage, Allen Ginsbert, Todd Gitlin, Martin Luther King, Barry Melton and none other than Lyndon Johnson himself.
