Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Willard Huyck war comedy, BEST DEFENSE (1984) starring Dudley Moore, Eddie Murphy, and Kate Capshaw. Moore plays a competence-challenged tank designer, and Murphy plays the tank commander who must later take Moore's tank into combat. Murphy's character was only added to the film after the original version was completed but then was panned by test audiences. The film is yet another in a long line of films that portrays the American defense system as being run by an army of Chaplin-like buffoons. Neither comic star was impressed with the way the film turned out; indeed, Murphy admitted later on the David Letterman show, "A few years back I made a film called BEST DEFENSE. And it was bad. REAL bad!" This original one sheet poster is folded and in near mint condition.
