DESTRY RIDES AGAIN was the first sound film in which he appeared, alongside Claudia Dell, Zasu PItts, Stanley Fields, Francis Ford, Edward Saint, Charles K. French, Charles Brinley, and Andy Devine.And also with Tony, the Wonder Horse. Long before Roy Rogers or John Wayne, Mix was the acknowledged "King of the Cowboys". Millions of kids grew up watching the silent films of Tom Mix at Saturday matinees. Many of the silent films that Tom Mix made for 20th Century Fox were destroyed in the famous vault fire at Fox in 1937. Mix had a long history of appearing in comic books worldwide. He also made many personal appearances and actually rode in President Theodore Roosevelt's inaugural parade in 1905. DESTRY RIDES AGAIN is a pre-code western in which concerns a cowboy that was framed and spent some time in prison. When he is released, he vows revenge on the man who set him up. The film runs 61 minutes, but audiences worldwide were curious about Tom Mix's voice.
