Original Walt Disney Productions 1990 Re-Release 8x10 Color lithographs (stills) for the James Algar and Samuel Armstrong music animation masterpiece, FANTASIA (1940) starring Leopold Stokowski conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra and narrated by Deems Taylor. This was the first feature film shown in multi-channel sound, since the music was extremely important to the whole FANTASIA experience. Most critics consider this series of fanciful stories built around seven pieces of classical music to be not only the best-animated film ever made but also one of the greatest films period. Certainly this film was one of the highlights of Walt Disneyƕs distinguished career. These lithographs, which are beautifully printed on high quality card stock, were issued for the 1990 re-release of the film.
