Original Summit Distribution One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Jan Troell adventure biography, THE FLIGHT OF THE EAGLE (1982) starring Max von Sydow, Sverre Anker Ousdal, Goran Stangertz, and Eva von Hanno. This is the story of a 19th Century Swedish engineer named Salomon Andree, who sets out to be the first man to find the North Pole using a hydrogen balloon called The Eagle. The balloon takes off with Andree and two friends from Svalbard in 1897, but the three men are never heard of again. Based on a true story, the film turns out to be one of the most psychologically terrifying films of all time. The movie was nominated for an Oscar in the year of its release as Best Foreign Film. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition.
