Nowhere were these epics of big waves and beautiful surf more popular than in Australia. Here is a rather well preserved and not-too-common Australian one sheet for a film by surfing maven Larry Yates, THE FORGOTTEN ISLAND OF SANTOSHA (1974). This poster has all the elements of a window card, complete with the playdate and location, but measures 27x40. The image is rather well-printed. And the poster carries the imprimatur of Golden Breed Sportswear, who were probably involved with the original exhibitions of the film.
