SANTOSHA PRODUCTIONS AUSTRALIAN ONE SHEET POSTER 27x41 VERY FINE PLUS NEVER FOLDED
After the success of Bruce Brown's surfing films in the nineteen sixties, the genre began to quietly establish itself. Nowhere were these epics of big waves and beautiful surf more popular than in Australia. Here is a rather well preserved and not-too-common Australian one sheet for a film by surfing maven Larry Yates, THE FORGOTTEN ISLAND OF SANTOSHA. This poster has all the elements of a window card, complete with the playdate and location, but with the size of a one sheet. The image is rather well-printed. And the poster carries the imprimatur of Golden Breed Sportswear, who were probably involved with the original exhibitions of the film.
