20th Century Fox Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Lloyd Bacon directed military film FROGMEN (1951). The poster is linen-backed and in very fine plus condition; colors are vivid. Fifteen years before THUNDERBALL took the scuba experience to the widescreen and in color, this film was expertly photographed in black and white by Norbert Brodine and was subsequently nominated for a Best Cinematography Oscar (for B&W movie), The movie is a well written World War II story starring a virtual stable of Fox's male stars in the early fifties: Dana Andrews, Richard Widmark, Jeffrey Hunter, Robert Rockwell, Gary Merrill, and the upcoming Robert Wagner. There's a lot of testosterone here and it shows as the demolition experts go about winning the war. We think this is one of the really attractive one-sheets from Fox in the early fifties.
