Original Warner Bros Italian 39x55 poster for the Frank Tuttle directed crime film HELL ON FRISCO BAY (1956) Edward G. Robinson steals every scene in this picture about an ex-cop who has just gotten out of prison for a crime he did not commit. Of course, Robinson, reprising his style from LITTLE CAESAR and other gangster films - a character which he did very well, adjusting the nuance of performance to fit a particular script - is the culprit behind this injustice. Alan Ladd in another of his tough-guy roles, all of this set against a San Francisco locale. The final chase and shootout take place in speedboats on San Francisco Bay. The Italian 39x55 has art by the wonderful Luigi Martinati. Used in a cinema in Italy sixty years ago, the poster is in very fine condition.
