Description

Original Thunder Pictures Style A One Sheet Poster (27x41). Folded. Very Good Condition Theater Used

Original Thunder Pictures Style A One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Larry Buchanan exploitation drama, HIGH YELLOW (1965) starring Cynthia Hull, Warren Hammack, Kay Taylor, and Bill McGhee. This film is about a seventeen-year-old light-skinned black girl who tries to pass for white. "High Yellow" was a term first used in the 1920s to describe an African-American with very light skin, and the term had a definite derogatory meaning when used by one African-American to describe another. One of at least two different styles from the original release. Posters for this exploitation film may have been printed differently for different regions of the U.S. This poster is folded, and it was used in a theater. It has some ragged edges and some internal creases. There is no image area missing. We have graded the poster in very good condition, which is a mid-grade. This poster should be regarded to be in average used condition. MovieArt had access to many of these exploitation posters. We guarantee that this poster is an authentic, vintage one-sheet poster for this film.
