Set in an upscale Connecticut suburb in 1973, this excellent film focuses on two families, the Hoods and the Cravers. These two families are quickly slipping into an existentialist void, where social taboos are shattered on whims and the line between adult authority and juvenile irresponsibility is blurred. The film chronicles a brief period of rapid moral deterioration - including adultery, sexual experimentation, drug use, and petty crimes.
