Warner Bros Original French Grande Poster (47x63), folded, for the Mark Rydell directed western film JOHN WAYNE AND THE COWBOYS (1972). Wayne plays a cattleman whose cowhands abandon him to go hunt for gold. So he takes on a group of young boys and teaches them all to do a man's job - getting the cattle to market. There's a lot to enjoy in this film, which is deftly directed and with a great cast of characters: Slim PIckens, Bruce Dern, Colleen Dewhurst, Robert Carradine, Roscoe Lee Brown and Richard Farnsworth. Curiously the poster promotes the film as JOHN WAYNE AND THE COWBOYS, which sometimes account for confusion about the actual title of the film. It is THE COWBOYS, however. MovieArt Austin guarantees this poster, which is in fine plus condition and is folded, to be the authentic and original French Grande poster for this movie. This poster was used in a theater and does show some modest signs of general wear, and it has a Province of Quebec censor stamp on it. This is easily removed. Authentic, vintage!
