Paramount Original Half Sheet Poster (22x28) Folded Very Good

The ads screamed "Diana Ross IS Billie Holiday" for this biopic of the famous singer. This is star-bound miscasting of the first order, but producer Berry Gordy was sure that Diana Ross was right for this part. And at least some people agreed with him as she was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actress, an award that would eventually go to Liza Minnelli. The movie tried valiantly to capture the era, but failed to find the grit in Holiday's story. What WAS good that came out of it was the appearance of Billy Dee Williams as Diana's MAN. Ross is good also - we just don't see her as Billie Holiday. The poster is in only very good condition, owing to the fact that this poster was theater-used. Folded, but it has been stored flat for years.
