Original Warner Brothers One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Richard C. Sarafian western adventure, MAN IN THE WILDERNESS (1971) starring Richard Harris, John Huston, Henry Wilcoxon, and Percy Herbert. The Harris character, Zachary Bass, is based on a real mountain fur trapper named Hugh Glass. He is left for dead by his entourage after being mauled by a grizzly bear. The rest of the film focuses on his long road to recovery and his efforts to track down the men who stranded him. By the end of the film, the audience has experienced his seemingly endless pain and suffering. But in this experience, he learns to appreciate life and temper his thirst for revenge with a kind of stoic acceptance, if not forgiveness. Harris gives one of the most sincere and thoughtful performances of his career. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine plus condition.
