Paramount Pictures Original U.S. One-Sheet Poster for the Ivan Reitman comedy MEATBALLS (1979). The film stars Bill Murray, Harvey Atkin, Kate Lynch, Russ Banham, Christine Debell, Sarah Torgov and Chris Makepeace. The film was made in Ontario, and it became the highest grossing Canadian film ever released in the U.S. The story revolves around counsellors and counsellors-in-training at a cheapo summer camp. The film was not particularly well-received by critics, but audiences ate up the first appearance of Bill Murray in a feature film. Director Reitman expressed doubt that Murray would accept his invitation to be in the film, but Murray showed up on the first day of filming. The rest is summer-camp history. This poster is designed by Morgan Kane. The poster was used in a theater and shows some modest general signs of use. Not a perfect copy, but quite good overall with some minor stains and evidence of an additional "soft" fold. We have graded the poster as very good.
