Warner Brothers Original Three Sheet 41x81 Folded. Fine Plus

One of the most beautiful widescreen films of 1971, DEATH IN VENICE is Luchino Visconti's vision of Thomas Mann's novel. Dirk Bogarde portrays Gustav Von Aschenbach, a composer and conductor who has come to Venice to visit after a period of distress and grief. There he sees a remarkably beautiful boy, played by Bjorn Andresen, who has accompanied his mother (played beautifully by the very beautiful Silvana Mangano) and sisters. In the languid atmosphere of the seaside resort Von Aschenbach begins to fantasize and obsess about the boy constantly -- until a epidemic threatens the entire scene. Visconti directs the whole film with the jaundiced eye of the ancient observer. Exquisitely photographed by Pasquale DeSantis and scored completely with music by Gustav Mahler. The poster is unbacked in fine plus condition. Fully linen backed this poster would be gorgeous - slightly modernist with a great design.
