Original French Poster (16x22) for the Stephen Frears biographical drama, PRICK UP YOUR EARS (1987) starring Gary Oldman, Alfred Molina, and Vanessa Redgrave. Based on the biography by John Lahr, the film chronicles the life story of gay British playwright Joe Orton (Oldman), who was befriended by an older British writer, Kenneth Halliwell (Molina), when Orton was still a teenager. OrtonÕs plays were a huge success in London in the 1960s, and he is even commissioned to write a screenplay for The Beatles. The filmÕs frank and open attitude about showing the gay underground of the time definitely made it a film Òahead of its time.Ó This original French poster with artwork by Thierry Flamand is folded and in very fine condition.
