Original MGM Insert Card Poster for the Edward Dmytryk romantic drama, RAINTREE COUNTY (1957) starring Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor, Eva Marie Saint, Nigel Patrick, and Lee Marvin. When this film was in rehearsals, Clift's notorious drinking problem got completely out of hand. When the film was half finished, Clift left a party given by Taylor and her husband Michael Wilding and crashed his car into a telephone pole, horribly disfiguring his face. Production on the film was shut down for weeks, but the film was finally completed and received four Academy Award nominations, including Taylor's first nomination for Best Actress.
