This is an original RKO Pictures Three Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Ishiro Honda monster classic, RODAN (1958) starring Kenji Sahara and Yumi Shirakawa. This was the first of the Toho "Giant Monster" series in color and also boasted some of the best special effects for the time. Remembered as one of the best Japanese monster movies, the film chronicled the discovery of a horrifying giant flying reptile named Rodan. This original three sheet poster is in near mint condition. The poster was apparently never used in a theater and it is very fine plus condition. The three sheet poster is printed on two separate panels which are joined to create one poster. A wonderful archival copy with great color, no rips, stains or tears. Also, it is worth nothing that this is an RKO poster for the movie, not a poster from the DCA release.
