Columbia Pictures Original Italian 39x55 poster, folded, for the Gordon Douglas directed adventure film ROGUES OF SHERWOOD FOREST (1950). The film stars John Derek as Robin Hood, and Diana Lynn as Lady Marianne de Beaudray. How many times has Robin Hood been filmed? Alan Hale, Sr. played the evil King John in this, a role he played in the Douglas Fairbanks version in 1922, and in the Errol Flynn version in 1938. Derek, who was a talented photographer, and extremely handsome professed not to enjoy acting. He is best known for playing Joshua in DeMille's THE TEN COMMANDMENTS (1956) and for "discovering" Bo Derek. This poster is much nicer than the U.S. one-sheet for the film.
