Original U.S. Lobby Card Set Eight 11x14 Lobby Cards Very Fine Condition

Original United Artists complete set of U.S. lobby cards (eight individual 11x14 cards) for the music concert film/documentary, SATCHMO THE GREAT (1957) starring Louis Armstrong, Leonard Bernstein, W. C. Handy, and other famous jazz musicians of the time. Originally recorded as an interview on Edward R. Murrow's "See It Now" TV program in 1951, Murrow later expanded it into a feature-length documentary movie about the jazz great. Within the film, Armstrong's life is portrayed through his music. The documentary features his trip to West Africa, which he immediately adopted as his ancestral home because of how much he liked the people there. The cards show Armstrong's ebullient personality as he plays music and clearly enjoys his goodwill trip. These cards are in very fine condition. This is one of the best movie collectibles on Louis Armstrong. These original lobby cards are guaranteed to be authentic U.S. lobbies for this film. MovieArt Original Film Posters in Austin, Texas does not sell reproductions.
