The Grand Film of the Disco Era, SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER was an enormously popular movie which cemented forever John Travolta's grip on stardom. Travolta plays a young man Tony Manero whose strictly working class background cannot surpress his desire to soar. And he does so on weekends at the local disco. Directed by John Badham and with music by the Bee Gees in their disco incarnation, the film became one of the smash hits of 1977.
