Original Paramount Pictures Italian 79x55 for the George Stevens western masterpiece, SHANE (1953) starring Alan Ladd, Jean Arthur, Van Heflin, Brandon De Wilde, and Jack Palance. This mini-epic tells of the arrival of a mysterious stranger (Ladd) who impresses the innocent and threatens the guilty. His nemesis is the sinister and merciless gunfighter named Jack Wilson (Palance). The film was ranked by the American Film Institute as the third best western film of all time. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. The film won the Oscar for Best Cinematography to Loyal Griggs who used the Grand Teton Mountains as the scenic backdrop. Here is one of the greatest western one-sheet posters in wonderful condition.
