Original 20th Century-Fox One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Sidney Lanfield dramatic biography, SWANEE RIVER (1939) starring Don Ameche, Andrea Leeds, and Al Jolson. Filmed in Technicolor, this film is more fictional than factual biography of Stephen Foster, an absent-minded but good-natured struggling composer whose songs became icons of American music. Of course, with popularity comes trials and tribulations, and eventually his wife and child leave him because of his excessive drinking. The wonderful score by Louis Silvers received an Academy Award nomination. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition.
